In the framework of the International Nursing Day, the General Directorate of Military Health and the School of Logistics continue to train men of the National Army to strengthen operational health and pre-hospital care in the area of operations.
In the Military Fort of Tolemaida, 31 men of the Special Forces of the National Army took a TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care – All Combat) course, in which subjects such as care techniques under fire, field tactical care, care during the evacuation of wounded, were addressed. These course were focused on the care of war trauma, in order to reduce the incidence of deaths in the theater of operations.
In the same way, they learned knowledge on control of bleeding, first aid, medicine, tactical and care to be provided to patients with multiple lesions. Those are skills that are essential in military operations and for the preservation of good physical condition of those who works for the security in different regions of the country.
With this training, there are already 2,600 combat nurses and military first responders who since 2020 are part of the operational health and work day by day in the most inhospitable places in the country, to ensure the health of the troops of the Military Forces and support Military Health.
