The operation against illegal activities gives no respite in Cauca. This shipment that would cost more than 4000 million pesos would belong to the dissidents Dagoberto Ramos.
The continuous security efforts carried out by the troops of the Third Division, in coordination with the National Police, in the department of Cauca, led to the finding of an illegal hideout in which 7 tons of marijuana had been stored. The place conditioned in the Cacique village of Silvia, Cauca, would belong to the Dagoberto Ramos dissidents.
This shipment is so far the largest find made by the troops since 2017. Through this, an enormous blow is dealt to the illegal finances of this residual structure, whose main source of financing is the production and commercialization of this narcotic.
Military intelligence work led to finding this place as far as the troops of the Light Cavalry Group No. 8 and the Infantry Battalion No. 7 arrived to concretize this military operation against drug trafficking carried out in the night before with the deployment of land resources in this area of the department.
No arrests were made in the military operation and the material found was put into custody of the corresponding authorities.
By means of this finding, the goal established by the Ministry of National Defense is exceeded, which had been set at 98 tons, it reaches 112 tons, surpassing that goal by 14% thanks to the power of the troops of the Third Division.
