During the operation, war materiel, military accessories and communications that would be used to attack civilians and Military Forces were seized.
In operations conducted by troops of the Joint Task Force Aquiles, in assistance to the early warning No.049 of 2021, issued by the Ombudsman's Office, was neutralized the threat of a member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in the municipality of Cáceres, Antioquia.
The military operation was conducted in the sector known as El Tunel, where intense fighting occurred and resulted in the death in the course of operations of a member of the Yeison Leudó Chaverra substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo.
In the course of the operation, it was in the same way possible to find two rifles, five rifle cartridges, 75 7.62 mm caliber cartridges and 450 5.56 mm cartridges. In the same way, explosive material was found, such as 394 non electric detonators, 10 anti-personnel mines, a hand-made grenade and three kilos of Indugel (explosive).
In the same way, a communications radio, an antenna and two magazines were found by troops, as well as a large amount of military accessories material, such as nine pixelated field equipment, eight pixelated camouflage fabric and 14 camouflage type shirts, among other elements.
It is important to highlight that all the material was put into custody of the judicial authorities for the corresponding legal and administrative procedures.
In this way, the Joint Task Force Aquiles will continue to conduct its military operations throughout the Bajo Cauca region in Antioquia and southern Córdoba subregion, in order to hit the expansion of the criminal components of the organized armed groups that intend to hit the security and tranquility of the inhabitants in these areas of the country.
