Military Engineers of the National Army carry out environmental activity in the neighborhood San José, in the municipality of Malambo, in the department of Atlántico.

 

Troops of Engineers Battalion No.2, 'General Francisco Javier Vergara Velasco', through their fourth squad of Disaster Prevention and Assistance, of the Second Brigade, of the National Army, with the support of the National Unit for Risk Management of Disasters and the Mayor's Office of Malambo, Atlántico, carried out environmental activities that led to benefit more than 2,400 inhabitants of this area of ​​the country.

 

The Bicentenary Heroes remove more than 70 tons of garbage that hit mainly the people of the Center of Life of the Elderly La Magdalena, who had been suffering outbreaks of various diseases due to the large amount of garbage that was abandoned in a lot in the sector.

 

With this type of activities, the institution demonstrates the commitment to the protection of the environment and the community hit by this problem of contamination.
